MRP (MEDIPACK Rapid Packaging) System
The way the MRP system functions is very simple:
In contrast to the conventional sealing process the blister is not die cut in advance, rather the product is inserted into sheets of multiple blisters, this is sealed with a single sealing lid, and then cut into single blisters on a die cutter.
The blister size, and thus packing efficiency, depends primarily on the size of the product. However, it is designed in such a way so as to ensure that sheets of multiple blisters can be economically produced, and are optimally suited to the size of the sealing tool.
Since the overall costs (packaging materials plus packing costs) can be reduced, this system is also an alternative to prefabricated, economical medical pouches.
Advantages
- Considerably higher packing efficiency (around 5 to 10 fold) because of lower packing costs
- Attractive packages because the blister and the sealing lids have the same die-cut contours
- Low investment costs
- Rapid implementation
